Paddy Kearns
Civil Engineer
Paddy is a civil engineer with over 20 years’ experience in the Australian construction industry, including 19 years based in Western Australia. He has developed deep domain expertise across the resources, infrastructure, government, and energy sectors.
As Executive Director of Westforce Construction, Paddy has specialised in the delivery of electrical infrastructure projects. Over recent years, his focus has centered on large-scale renewable energy developments, with direct involvement in the construction of multiple wind farms and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Key projects include the Synergy Kwinana BESS and, most recently, the Collie BESS (500MW / 2,400MWh), currently ranked as the 7th largest operating BESS in the world.
In his capacity as a Project Sponsor, Paddy provides critical oversight on the initiation and close-out of complex, multidisciplinary construction projects.
His strong emphasis on constructability, engineering practicality, and operational efficiency adds significant value across all phases of project execution. Paddy brings a proven track record of successfully delivering major energy infrastructure projects in Western Australia. His extensive experience will be utilised to strengthen the delivery team by optimising detailed design solutions, rationalising project schedules, implementing robust quality assurance processes, and integrating lessons learned from previous high-profile projects to drive successful project outcomes.
